family portrait faqs
Here’s some general information to help you better plan your session:
What’s a session like???
We’ll meet up at a place of your choice and capture all the wiggles, giggles, dimples, kisses, and expressions that you love so much about the most important people in your life. There will be a few times that I’ll ask you to “look this way” or “look that way,” but I’ll mostly just ask you to relax and love on one another. If you’re not sure about a location, we can certainly brainstorm together. For information on our newborn sessions, click here.
How long do the sessions last???
Most sessions typically last anywhere from 1-1.5 hours.
Are weekend spots available?
I reserve weekends for weddings, out of town clients, and most importantly my family. It is a rare exception that a weekend portrait spot is available.
What is your turn-around?
About 2 weeks after your session, your edited images will be ready and placed in a password protected online gallery for easy viewing and product ordering.
What should we wear???
Be YOU! No need for everyone to wear the same outfit. Try to coordinate the styles and colors so that everyone’s personality shines but no one sticks out like a sore thumb. If you’d like to have some wardrobe changes, no problem! If you’re looking for inspiration, be sure to pop over to my Pinterest board.
Once you get a session on the books, we’ll talk even more in depth about how to personalize our time together.
Do you require a contract or retainer fee?
Yes – to reserve a date on my calendar, a signed contract with the full session fee is due at booking. The session fee is non-refundable, but is transferable for up to 6 months should you need to reschedule from your original session date.
Do you have a referral program?
Absolutely! I love rewarding my faithful clients who spread the love! If you’d like more details, drop me a line: kami(at)orangepeelphoto(dot)com.
I’m sold! How do we get a session on the books???
Fill out the contact form and we’ll compare our schedules and find a time that works for both of us.
