Our Life | Our Home

Cricket, cricket.

Yep. It’s been pretty quiet around these part of the blogosphere. To say we’ve been busy would be an understatement. Not only have we been in the throws of wedding season, we bought our first home!!! Yay! Neither Tyler or myself ever thought we’d actually accomplish this goal. Praise God! Not only were we able to find exactly what we were envisioning…we landed a steal of a deal!

Would you like a tour of our home??? undefined

It’s hard to tell from this angle, but this is a very nice sized porch. I imagine we’ll spend many summer nights sitting here drinking lemonade while watching the boys ride their bikes in the the cul-de-sac. Yep! We’re located on a beautiful (and quiet) cul-de-sac! And get this…our neighbors are throwing us a “welcome” block party!!!

The image on the left is the view of the front entry way from the front room – which will be transformed into the OrangePeel Room. The image on your right is the staircase leading to the second floor.

Our room! And the image on the right??? Our CLOSET!!! Booyah!

undefinedThe master bathroom. The light is incredible! Don’t be surprised if I end up doing at least one newborn session in there (with backdrops of course). The light is just that yummy!undefined

Back downstairs. This is the OrangePeel Room. I have so many ideas swirling around in my head for how to transform this into not only an office but also a client meeting room! This room is much larger than the picture shows – so don’t worry future clients! There will be plenty of room to get cozy in here while planning your wedding photography with us or viewing your family portraits for the first time! I cannot wait!!!

The eat-in breakfast area. We’ve already put in a bird feeder for the boys to watch birds while chomping on their cereal.

Brace yourself. What you are about to see is nothing short of amazing.undefinedundefined

Our lovely backyard!!!undefined

From about 1pm and on, the patio is shaded. Love it!undefined

And last, but certainly not least, our basement. Not bad for being unfinished, eh?

It will be a long while before there are any “after” pictures shared. Tyler and I have spent the last 4 yrs scrimping and saving and haven’t purchased a single piece of new furniture since we’ve been married (except a crib). So – filling our space and making it our own will be a long process. You can be sure we’ll post pictures as we go through and adjust each room to fit our personal tastes. In the mean time, I’ll be working to get caught up on all the work that has had to be put on hold while we dug our way out of boxes.:)

Here’s to making new memories in our new home!
