Kansas City Wedding Photographers: Lizz + Cody | Spring Wedding

When Lizz and Cody asked me to photograph their wedding…I was thrilled! I was, however, a little worried when they told me their wedding date. Kansas can be so funny in April when it comes to weather. Just two weeks before their wedding there was a freak storm that left 2in of snow on the ground. How in the world did they expect a spring wedding the first weekend in April? Well, they prayed. For 8 months they prayed. April 2, 2011 showed up and it was GORGEOUS!

The weather wasn’t the only thing that turned out beautifully for their big day. Lizz and Cody’s love completely permeated the day. I could feel it. Tyler could feel it. Anyone that spent 2 minutes with Lizz could see how ready she was for that day. She’d met the man who would be opening her doors, picking up the tab, and kissing her goodnight for the rest of her life; and she was soaking in every moment of the day that would set the stage for the rest of their life.

Can you believe that Lizz is adopted? Yeah…it’s CRAZY how much she and her mom look alike. All I can say is…God is in details.

Every time I look at these sequence of images, I get teary eyed…
